Archive an item without losing its history
Take a retired item out of circulation while every reservation that used it keeps its full record. Put it back into circulation whenever you want.
If a letter gets retired or a style stops booking, you might want it off your working list without pretending it was never part of your business.
That's what Archive is for. Archiving lifts an item out of circulation while every reservation that ever used it keeps its full record (what went out & when it came back).
Every item now has its own Archive button right on its row on the Inventory page, so you can retire one thing without disturbing the rest of your inventory. Anything you've archived lives under Archived, where you can search and filter it the same way you do your active list. And the moment you restore an archived item, the availability checker starts offering it again.
Archive is also there to catch you. If you go to delete an item that is included in a reservation, we'll pause and show you which reservations are counting on it, so you can archive it instead and keep every bit of that history intact.
